Located outside of Charlotte, All Saints’ Episcopal, Concord was looking for an artist to incorporate existing elements of design into a new set of green paraments and vestments. The kneelers in the chancel were lovingly and artfully crafted by members of the congregation, depicting scrollwork with lilies and grapes. Together with the logo of the church which was taken from a panel on stained glass in the choir loft, I combined these elements to create a design that celebrates the history of this parish while highlighting new growth and possibilities. The result is a fresh, modern take on traditional Eucharistic patterns that brings a verdancy into the sanctuary throughout the green season.
