Law of Attraction – The Missing Piece of the Puzzle

Do you ever have the feeling that you are missing something critical about the Law of Attraction? Are you stuck in the same unwanted situation in spite of reading The Secret and other books? Does it seem like you are looking for the missing piece of the puzzle?
The reason that so many people get frustrated with the Law of Attraction is that they are working with only one or two parts of a puzzle with three distinct pieces. Books like The Secret talk mostly about one piece and a little about a second piece but completely ignore the third component.
Law of Attraction Component #1 – Human Focused Energy
This is the part that everyone talks about. Create a vision board and riches will follow. Visualize what you want to receive and it will manifest. All of this is important and all of it is true. Let’s review what steps you can take to fully implement this piece of the puzzle.
- Visualization – Vision boards, scripting your desired life, anything that sparks your imagination and brings your ideas into a more concrete form
- Activation – Living “as if” you had already received your goals; affirmations, gratitude
- Emotional Charging – Feeling into the joy of having received, focusing on things that bring joy, moving away from anything that brings your energy down
Most resources that teach Law of Attraction focus on this component. In the two-part model of the Law of Attraction, it’s the part that many people know least. I would definitely encourage you to learn as much as you can about these methods. Keep in mind, however, that it is only one part of a three-part puzzle.
Law of Attraction Component #2 – Source Focused Energy
This is the cooperative piece that connects your intention to Source. How you choose to do this is up to you. Here are some examples:
- Meditation
- Prayer
- Deeply connecting with nature
- Rich inspiration by art, music, etc.
The purpose of this connection is twofold. Firstly, it allows you to connect to the energy that will provide the fuel for your desires in proportion to your clarity and positive emotion. Secondly, it allows an opportunity for your mind to be quiet, clearing the way for manifesting thought. With a cluttered and noisy mind, it is difficult to focus and achieve any degree of clarity on what you’d like to manifest.
Law of Attraction Component #3 – Location Focused Energy
Location Energy – the missing piece of the puzzle
OK – here comes the gold. This is the puzzle piece that is left out of the equation by so many authors and teachers. I can only guess that the reasons for the omission stem from a mistaken belief that we cannot control our environment to create our realities. NOT TRUE!
When you actively take charge of your living and working spaces, what you are effectively doing is making a three-dimensional vision board. Instead of using a two-dimensional poster board, you use your home and office as manifesting tools. Consequently, by coming to an understanding of how energy works in spaces, you gain a powerful method of supercharging your intentions.
Perhaps Law of Attraction teachers omit this component because they do not fully understand how spaces and energy interact for our manifestations. While some of the particulars are indeed complicated, let’s explore some of the easily accessible tools available to us to unlock this third puzzle piece.
Feng Shui – Ancient and Modern
Feng Shui is the ancient Chinese art of location, placement, and color. It’s been around for 4000 years, so there is plenty of evidence that it, like acupuncture, has a place in modern life. It’s most complex forms involve intricate compass readings and detailed analysis of the time, date and place of your birth. However, there are some basic, simple changes that can activate your intentions that spring directly from this timeless art:
- Career – Keep your front door and entryway clean and clear of clutter
- Prosperity – Stovetops kept sparkling clean and clear at all times
- Love & Relationships – Clutter under the bed steals energy from potential romance
Decluttering
Every item in your house, whether you love it or not, is tied to your personal energy. When we are actively working to manifest something new, the objects that bring us no joy drag our efforts down. When a client tells me that they are not manifesting what they desire, I ask them about their clutter. I help them to focus on the feng shui areas of the house related to their intentions. I empower them to go home and declutter. It really is like magic – they dump the unwanted crap and the energy starts to move – FAST.
Marie had been complaining about her job for a very long time. She came to me to help her find some direction in life. After talking with her about her house, I discovered that the area associated with Creativity was terribly cluttered. The area gave her a deep sense of shame. I gave her the challenge to clear the clutter from this area and to see where the energy took her.
The next time I saw Marie, she was ON FIRE. Her decluttering had led her to throw out things from an old job that had been a sad time in her life. She had no idea why she was holding on to them, but she said that she felt better the moment they left her house. A few days later, she came across a notebook in which she had jotted down some ideas about a future business venture. She had never explored the idea before, but now she felt energized in a new way. Literally sparkling with joy, she told me all about her new business. She had given her notice at her job.

Finally, a few words about location, vibration, and the people with whom you spend your time. Keeping a high personal vibration is key to manifesting your desires through the conscious use of the Law of Attraction. For me, this means limiting my interactions with people and situations that bring me down. I make deliberate choices to stay away from drama lovers, energetic vampires, and rage-a-holics. Instead, I choose to spend my time with people who lift my spirits with kindness, humor, and a peaceful demeanor.
Making these choices can be difficult, especially when the person who lowers your vibration is someone very close to you.
